Work continues on the hut

To carry out the refurbishments that have been funded by the Youth Investment Fund, our builders started work on the hut at the end of February 2024. They have already removed rotten wood from the only wall which hadn’t yet been strengthened, so all four walls have now been strengthened and are ready to have a new roof fitted. 

From 11th March, the work will move inside, with work being done to remove the existing, very old, kitchen, to prepare the room for fitting a brand new one. A new boiler will also be fitted, thanks to the YIF funding, which should improve the hut’s energy efficiency.
