Silver Acorn Award

We are delighted to announce that our Group Scout Leader, Thursday Cub Leader and Assistant District Commissioner for Cubs, Susan Bridgens has been awarded a Silver Acorn. The Silver Acorn award is given in recognition of specially distinguished service, a description which is befitting of Sue. Sue has been involved in scouting now for 26 years, in various roles. As well as the work that she does with our group, she also looks after all 16 Cub packs in Hallam district in her role as Assistant District Commissioner for Cubs. Sue gives up a lot of her time and shows a huge amount of dedication towards our group and to Scouting in general and for this her award is very well deserved. Sue will be going to Windsor this April to attend the St George's Day parade as an award holder. We would like to thank Sue for everything that she does and congratulate her on her well deserved award.
